Pumpkin Spice Protein Latte

Winter is now upon us and the weather is becoming super chilly - so the thought of chugging your regular protein shake down after a run in the rain might be a little less than appealing. Never fear! The Pumpkin Spice Protein Latte is here!

That's right, you don't have to bob down to Starbucks and grab one of their insanely sugar filled delights and chuck in your PERFORM, you can make one in the comfort of your own home. This literally takes about 5 minutes to throw together and tastes insanely good.

Pumpkin Spice Protein Latte - Serves: 1

For the Pumpkin Spice Mix:

1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves

For the latte:

1 heaped tablespoon coffee grounds brewed in 120ml (1/2 cup) freshly boiled water
1/2 - 1 Scoop PERFORM protein
1-2 tbsp pumpkin puree (optional but tasty)
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice mix (recipe above)
1/2 tsp coconut sugar (optional)
1/8 tsp vanilla powder or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch freshly ground black pepper
180ml (3/4 cup) nut milk

Optional toppings:

Whipped coconut cream
Pinch of pumpkin spice
Cinnamon sticks

1) Start by brewing your coffee for 3 minutes.

2) Combine your freshly brewed coffee with everything except the nut milk and process in a high speed blender until smooth. Pour into a large glass or mason jar.

3) Froth your nut milk using a milk frother or whisk. Pour the frother milk into the coffee mix, stirring as you go along.

4) Add your toppings and enjoy!

Note: For an extra special drink try cooking your pumpkin puree in a small pan on a low heat along with your spices!
